About Me

I’ve always been a creative type, but it took me a while to find ceramics as my perfect outlet. About five years ago, I sat down at a wheel for the first time — and something clicked. Since then, clay has become a place of peace where the noise of the world and life quiets just a bit.

In my home studio in Eaton, Colorado - and during my work study at Beautiful Mud Studio in Fort Collins - I throw or hand build each piece myself. My favorite part of the process is trimming, shaping the form into something that feels just right in the hands. Glazing, if I’m honest, is my least favorite step, but it’s also where each piece takes on its own unique personality. Interior design is also a big passion of mine so creating pieces that I would love to display in my own home is where some of my inspiration comes from.

I work with medium fire stoneware, creating pieces that are full of character. Every cup, bowl, or vase I make carries the marks of being handmade - a curve that’s not perfectly symmetrical, a glaze drip that caught the light just so. I’m not a production artist, and no two pieces are exactly the same. That’s the beauty I hope people see when they hold my work: the small imperfections that make it one of a kind.

When I’m not in the studio, I’m busy raising my 14-year-old son, Mason, and my adventurous two-year-old daughter, Cleo. This pottery journey is still unfolding for me — I’m not rushing it. For now, I’m enjoying the process, one piece at a time, and seeing where the mud decides to take me.
